Why I Believe Following Jesus Is More Important Than Lip Service.

As a Christian, I’ve been reflecting on the relationship between the Old Testament Law (the Torah) and Jesus’ teachings, especially after diving into Matthew 5:17-18. In these verses, Jesus says, “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.”

At first glance, it might seem like the Torah still holds the same weight, but the more I explore, the more I’m convinced that following Jesus is far more important than strictly adhering to the Torah and traditional Jewish practices. I also believe Jesus’ fulfillment of the Law effectively did away with much of the Old Testament laws, transforming how we live out God’s will. Here’s why.
